RSU SetupThe CSNet Group is a new group in the Department of Computer Science. We teach and do research on a wide number of topics from the Internet of Things (IoT) to Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC). Specific topics of interest include Mobile and Wireless Systems, Sensor Networks, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Secure Migration of Virtual Machines, Information Centric Networking (ICN), Distributed Simulation Environments, Energy-Efficient Cloud Computing, Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) and Advanced Digital Medical Platforms (ADIMEPs).

VANET STRUCTURE

A key area of research is to look at the development of architectures for building future networks and services that would encompass communication, mobility, Quality-of-Service and Security. The Group also uses a variety of research methods including analytical modelling, simulation tools and the building of large-scale prototypes.  These techniques are applied in projects which bring together the expertise of various members within the Group.
